August 2009: England RFU call on David Stringer Physiotherapy
During August, David Stringer was the Physiotherapist to the England Rugby Union's Elite Playing Squad for their pre-season training week at Twickenham. The team is made up of the top sixty-four English qualifying players who will make up Martin Johnson's England team for the 2009/10 season.
The training week began on Sunday 9th August with the players attending for medical and fitness screening and moved forward to skills and rugby training. The Wednesday session was open to the press and public with over 5,000 fans attending.
“For me it was great to be working with international athletes and carrying forward my experiences with them to the private sector,
” said David, “And also fantastic to meet up with some old friends from the England team; like any fan, I can't wait for the autumn internationals!
