On 27th May 2009 David Stringer was asked to appear on the BBC Radio Leeds Breakfast show with Andrew and Georgey to discuss the new National Institute for Clinical Excellence (NICE) guidelines on low back pain; setting out a range of effective treatment guidelines to the NHS.
One of the key guidelines is that complementary therapies, such as acupuncture and spinal manipulation, are to be recommended as part of NHS treatment for the first time.
Georgey Spanswick, BBC Radio Leeds presenter, also discussed her experiences of back pain and acupuncture and the success she had experienced whilst receiving physiotherapy treatment by David Stringer, who is also a registered member of the Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists (AACP).
